#hydrohike

#hydrohike

#hydrohike is a Hydroflask Campaign for the Spring/Summer of 2020. The purpose of this campaign is to promote national parks and encourage Hydroflask customers to visit them. Customers who visit a national park will find the #hydrohike checkpoint to scan a QR code, permitting them to purchase special edition water bottles in the gift shop or online. Customers are also encouraged to post pictures of their hike with our hashtag #hydrohike.

When designing this experiential campaign, I analyzed who uses Hydroflasks, and found most users enjoy the outdoors. So I decided to partner up with national parks and encourage Hydroflask users to visit them, which in return helps the national parks. To encourage the public to visit the parks, special edition water bottles have a special design for each location. When designing these, I illustrated features of each location and used colors appropriate to the nature in each park. In my process, I simplified the designs and create a system that could be applied to each location. In addition to the product design, I also curated a musical playlist that supplements each national park tourist experience.
