Bone Appetit is a small boutique dog bakery. It makes all treats with natural ingredients that help nourish everyone’s furry friends. The bakery provides wholesome dog treats and desserts perfect for catering a Puppy Party or even providing everyday snacks for four-legged friends.

Bone Appetit believes pets are family and the bakery provides them with food of the best quality, including nutritious and natural treats. These treats benefit the dogs internal and external health, which are important to any pet owner looking to enhance the quality of life of their four-legged family members and friends. Each dog is special and unique, the bakery caters to those different needs. Bone Appetit meets the nutritional needs of any dog, so they may be healthy and happy throughout their life.

When exploring the identity for Bone Appetit, my goal was to design a clearly understood symbol appropriate for a bakery for dogs. From a word list I compiled, an idea of incorporating a dog bone with a cupcake evolved, and I explored several visual variations of this concept. Another goal was to create a playful brand appealing to all dog owners. I chose to use a variety of shades of the color brown—a gender neutral color appropriate for dogs—because of its frequent association with fur, treats, and food.
